Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter, add sugar gradually until light and fluffy; add egg yolks and beat well.
Add flour, lemon juice and rind, salt and mix well; stir in milk
Beat egg whites until stiff, fold into mixture and pour into baking dish or individual custard cups
Set in pan of hot water and bake about 40 minutes; turn to 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until top is brown.
