Suggest a better descriptionAdd green bean to a dry sauté pan, cover them with water, and place on a burner over high heat. Once it comes to a boil, add some salt to the water and beans and stir. After boiling for around 10 minutes, or until they're tender to your liking, take the beans off the heat. Pour them into a colander, and immediately rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process. Coat that same pan with olive oil, and place it on a burner over medium heat. Add the green beans and salt and pepper and stir. Once the beans are warm and tender enough for you, add the juice of half a lemon and stir. Then taste. Add more lemon and/or salt and pepper if you like.
Sautéing green beans or any veg for that matter comes down to how tender you want them. Adjust boiling time as needed.
