Place the lentils in a pot and cover with water by about an inch. Boil over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until just soft. Drain well.
Put the lentils, carrots, onion, garlic, bread, coriander and parley into a food processor and whiz until a coarse meal is formed. Add the egg and stir well.
Form into 6 patties and lay them on a floured plate. Lightly dust the tops of the patties with flour.
Cook in a greased pan over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, until browned.
Serve on burger buns with lettuce, ketchup, mustard, etc.
