I'll hand over to Henry: This is one of only a handful of things that have been on the menu since day one at our first restaurant on Carnaby Street, and with good reason. It’s a classic Leon recipe, as it tastes good and does you good.
Everything in there has a job: the oats provide a slow-release carb to keep you powering through till lunch, the bananas are loaded with potassium and other goodies to keep you strong, the honey gives it a touch of sweetness and dairy pulls the whole thing together.
We now do summer variations, adding strawberries in summer and blackberries in autumn. When we first put it on the menu, one of our regulars described the Strawberry Power Smoothie as ‘another small step forward for mankind’.
