This recipe comes from my mother-in-law Grand-Mama, old but still a favorite and so simple to make.
In a bowl mix thoroughly all ingredients. Simmer in a covered casserole for at least an hour mixing often. Pour in small containers and refrigerate. Can be kept in the freezer once cooled down for up to 2 months.
