Simmer 15 minutes until clear
8 oz of flour and stir to make a roux
Add the water, chicken stock, milk and blend together until boiling
Add the dry basil and cocktail sherry
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer on low until ready to serve.
Serve with shredded swiss cheese and homemade rye break croutons (broil with butter and garlic salt)
