Preheat oven to 325
Butter 8 x 8 glass "pan"
Grind pecans (or finely chop). Add melted butter, flour, brown sugar. Mix (with fingers). Press into pan and bake 25-30 mins, until golden brown.
Whisk together eggs and sugar. Stir in lime juice, flour, and optional 2 tsp finely grated lime peel. Mix until smooth.
When crust is ready, pour lime custard into it and return to oven for about 20 mins, until firm to the touch. Cool in pan one hour. Cut into 12 pieces and press toasted pecan half into center of each piece, if desired. Remove with spatula.
They don't cut very neatly, but taste delicious. Ray liked them better than I did--a little tangy for me.
