Suggest a better descriptionStir together sugar and 1 cup water in small saucepan. Heat over medium flame and simmer until the sugar is well dissolved. Sprinkle gelatin over, stir, let sit 2 minutes, and stir again. Add lime juice and cold water, and food coloring if using, stir, and pour into 8x8 pan. Refrigerate until firm, 46 hours, and cut into cubes. These citrus gels need extra gelatin to compensate for their acidity, which weakens setting.
