Lightly brown the garlic in the oil and butter. Add the clam broth, white wine, parsley, rosemary, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Add the clams and cook 5 minutes.
Cook the linguine in rapidly boiling water until al dente, 6-8 minutes.
Add the clam sauce to the linguine and serve.
