Mash first 4 ingredients in mortar till fine paste. Add shrimp, mash till pulverized. (can do in mini food processor, too).
Crush long beans to bruise in mortar. Mix with cucumber, fish sauce and lime juice. Add tomatoes, lightly crushed, mix in. Let marinate for 10 minutes. Stir in peanuts.
