Suggest a better descriptionProcess tomatoes through a food mill or pulse several times in a food processor. Saute onion in butter in a medium saucepan until tender. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer sauce, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove and discard garlic and red pepper pod. Serve sauce over sliced pork. Makes 2 cups.
