This is my great aunt Mable's biscuit recipe.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix together dry ingredients. Add shortening and mix together until it looks like coarse crumbs. Add milk all at once. Stir just until dough forms with a fork. Pat or roll out 1/2 in thick. cut into circles.
Bake 10 minutes until golden brown.
