Macaroni and cheese using Kilt Lifter beer
PREP: Combine all spices into a cup and set aside until needed. Prepare cheeses (8 ounces of each into one bowl) (2 ounces of each into another bowl). Measure out 1/2 cup heavy cream and set aside. Mix 1 TBS flour into 1/2 cup of milk in a glass and set aside. Grease a 9x9 baking dish. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Directions:
STEP 1 = Cook Pasta and set aside
STEP 2 = Cook Bacon, chop into bite-size pieces and set aside - reserve 2 TBS of bacon grease
STEP 3 = Add Butter to Bacon Grease and melt in a large saucepan over low heat
STEP 4 = Add flour to make a roux
STEP 5 = Add Beer and mix thoroughly
STEP 6 = Add Milk/Corn Starch and mix thoroughly to thicken
STEP 7 = Add Heavy Cream and mix thoroughly
STEP 8 = Add 8oz of each cheese and melt
STEP 9 = Add Macaroni, Bacon and mix thoroughly
STEP 10 = Put in greased 9x9 baking dish
STEP 11 = Add topping - 2oz of each cheese
STEP 12 = Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
