Cook macaroni, drain and put in greased 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish. Saute onion with 2 tbsp butter, stir in flour, dried mustard, salt and pepper. Add milk slowly, stir until smooth and hot. Put 3/4 of cheese in milk mixture and stir until melted. Pour over macaroni. Put remaining slices of cheese on top. Melt 4 tsp of butter and toss bread crumbs with butter, put on top of casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
