Saute the onion and add to the beef. Stir in the soup and salt. Spread the bottom of an aluminum pie plate with the meat mixture. Sprinkle cheese over the meat.
In another bowl, mix milk, bisquick and eggs. Pour over the meat/cheese mixture.
Bake 400F for 45 minutes on top of a cookie sheet. It always boils over!
