Fill water bath level until it covers jars plus 1 inch.
Boil water (takes about 12 minutes)
Measure ingredients and set aside.
In saucepan, smash fruit 1 level at a time.
Heat fruit and add pectin.
Bring fruit to rolling boil. (about 5 minutes)
Add all of the sugar and stir in completely.
Drop jars and lids into the boiling water bath.
Bring fruit to a rolling boil and stir one more minute.
Remove from heat.
Take jars and lids out of bath.
Put jam mixture into 2 cup glass to pour.
Pour mixture into jars to mid lip section.
Screw on lids fairly loosely.
Put jars back into bath for 10 minutes.
Remove and cool.
