A layered and difficult to make sweet delicacy
Make a dough with Maida, ghee and water. consistency not too soft /not to hard.
For the Puff:
Ghee, margarine puff butter, rice ata, cornflour make a good consistent paste
For two colour strips:
Make two balls from the Maida dough; colour one red and one green.
For Sugary Syrup:
Add half of the water to the sugar and let it change into syrup.
Now flatten the dough and add the two colour strips and start rolling it on a roller (from the aluminium rolling blade) and keep adding the puff to it upon each roll. Once fully rolled, let it remain for 10 minutes. Now cut the rolled dough into "post-it" shaped square pieces (a little bigger). Make a sandwich of the cut squares after adding khoya in between. curl and twist the corners and sides to give it the khaja looks. Now fry them, till they trun a a little goldenish. Take them out and pour the sugary syrup on them and eat after 15 / 20 minutes.
