This is a bean recipe that goes fast to make sure to load up a big first serving because there might not be any left in time for seconds! Great for potlucks to have everyone say, "ooohh, who made these beans!" Very easy with a mixture of different types of canned beans, with a lot of bacon and onion that is the ultimate comfort food side for a potluck, tailgate, or dinner side that also heats up just as good as when fresh.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix beans together and add baking soda. Set aside.
Fry bacon (don't drain the fat). Just before crisp, add garlic salt, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper. Cook on low for 15 minutes. Add to bean mixture in casserole or baking dish, mix together and bake uncovered for 1 hour, 15 minutes.
