Family favorite.
Combine bread and milk in a small bowl and let sit for about 10 minutes. Combine ground beef, pork, onions, eggs, salt, cayenne and ketchup (if using) with bread mixture. Mix well, but do not over-work. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a lightly greased loaf pan or baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 1 hour or until the juices run clear. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing to serve.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
