In a medium saucepan put milk, sugar, salt, and coconut oil over medium heat until the sugar and coconut oil have dissolved. Set aside and cool.
In a separate bowl mix the flour with the yeast with chopsticks. Pour in the lukewarm milk mixture into the flour and yeast. Mix with chops sticks until a ball of dough forms. Take dough out of the bowl and knead on a well floured surface. Knead until the dough is smooth.
Cover dough and let rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
Roll out the dough from the center to distribute all the air bubbles. Keep rolling it until make a large rectangle (about 3 hand lengths wide). From the long edge, roll the dough until it make a log. Cut the log into 12 even pieces. Place rolls on square of parchment paper with oil. Cover and let rise until it has nearly doubled in size - about 45 minutes.
Once risen put rolls in a steamer and steam for 11 minutes, kill the heat and set the lid slightly ajar for two minutes. Once cooked, put the rolls on a cooling rack until they are cool to the touch.
