This apple crisp is paired with maple syrup which makes this recipe extra delicious. I also enjoy the crisp to be extra thick and crispy so I doubled the normal amount of toppings; the results are brilliant!
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place apples in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour syrup evenly on apples. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, oats, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, until topping is golden brown. Serve ala mode or with some whip cream
