Place syrup in sauce pan with candy thermometer. Set stove to medium low. Let cook without stirring (ever) until thermemoter reaches 350 degrees. This takes quite a while, depending on individual stoves.
Spray jelly roll pan with cooking spray. Pour syrup into pan and let set until it is cool and dry. Turn pan upside down onto waxed paper. Break candy into pieces by covering and tapping with heavy spoon.
To ensure that candy pieces do not stick together during storage, place in baggie with powdered sugar and shake.
