A delicious pasta dish in under an hour.
Heat olive oil in large saucepan on med-low heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 5 min. Add garlic and sauté for 3 minutes more. Increase heat to med-high and add blended tomatoes (don't over blend). Add spices, salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Cover and stir occasionally. This is meant to cook at very high temperature for about 20 minutes. 15 minutes before serving add wine and butter. 10 minutes before serving, add in scallops, shrimp and fresh clams and basil. Cover until fresh clams are open.
Serve over angel hair or linguini.
Note: if you start heating water for pasta when you start cooking sauce, everything will come together at the same time. You can add or substitute mussels for clams and one small lobster tail for shrimp.
