Soft center candy dipped in milk chocolate
Mix sugar, milk, butter, orange extract, and orange peel until smooth. Make into small balls and flatten on wax paper covered cookie sheet. Freeze.
Melt paraffin and chocolate chips over low heat until well blended. Dip frozen patties into mixture using tongs or candy dipper and place on wax paper until set. If desired, you can use any type of candy coating instead of the paraffin/chocolate mixture.
Variations: Omit orange extract and peel and add lemon extract and peel. You can also use coconut and/or nuts to flavor. You and also substitute peppermint extract and crushed peppermint candy.
Candy mixture can be divided and two or more flavors made at once.
The paraffin I use comes in a 16 oz box divided into four sticks - I use 1/2 of a stick.
