Suggest a better descriptionCube the potatoes into 1/2 inch pieces. Place potatoes in pot and cover with cold water. Add salt to water. Cover and Bring to a boil,then reduce heat to simmer and let cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Drain water then add potatoes back to pot. Add butter and mash together until the desired consistency, adding water as necessary.
