Peel and quarter potatoes.
Add potatoes to water, bring heat down to medium. Simmer until potatoes are tender (15-20 min).
Heat milk and butter in a bowl.
Drain pot and add potatoes back.
Begin mashing, add milk and butter while mashing. Salt/Pepper as desired.
