Suggest a better descriptionAdd chopped & peeled sweet potatoes to the slow cooker. Add water, top with butter & brown sugar. Cover & cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low 4-6 hours. Add the remaining ingredients & stir to combine. Mix with electric or hand mixer or a masher until smooth.
Topping: Place a small skillet over medium heat. Add butter & melt. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped walnuts, & stir to combine. Serve warm on top of mashed sweet potatoes.
I used less cream ~ 1 cup. Used pecans instead of walnuts. Serve the Cinnamon Sugar Walnut Topping to the side of the sweet potatoes instead of on the top.
