Mix the first 5 ingredients in a large saucepan and melt over medium low heat, stirring often, until smooth. Transfer to fondue or crock pot and serve with assorted fruit, pound and/or Angel food cakes for dipping. This recipe can easily be cut in half for smaller groups too!
NOTE: If you use individual caramel candies instead of the caramel pieces/chips in the baking aisle, the cook time will be longer since the candies take longer to melt.
