I make this recipe right after the Almond Joy cookies that require 4 egg yolks. So the oven had been preheated to 350.
I put the meringues in, turn off the oven and let them sit in the oven all night.
(You can also bake at 250 for one hour.)
This is good with both pecans and walnuts.
Or you can use no nuts and no vanilla and add 1/2 cup finely shopped dark chocolate , one drop of mint extract and a few drops of green food color.
