In medium bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, chilies, onion, garlic, bread crumbs and egg. Using #40 scoop and dividing each scoop in half, make meatballs. In large non-stick skillet, over medium-high heat, brown the meatballs in batches. In large saucepan over medium heat, heat stewed tomatoes (or salsa) to a boil. Gently stir in meatballs; reduce heat and cover. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon into serving dish; sprinkle with cheese. Serve immediately.
