Heat the oil in a large lidded pan, add the mince and onions and fry until browned. Add boiling water to cover to the pan & crumble in the two stock cubes. Simmer with the lid on for 1-2 hours, adding more water as necessary. Add the dissolved bisto powder, mix well then cook stirring for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, boil the potatoes for 30 minutes and mash. Add butter & milk to taste.
