Suggest a better descriptionMix the soaked beans and 8 cups liquid, perhaps half the v-8 and water, bring to boil and simmer 2 hours. Sauté the celery, onion, and pepper. Add to the cooked beans mixture along with the rest of the ingredients including the balance of the v-8 juice, and enough water if necessary for consistency. Cook at least 2 hours more until beans are tender, correct seasoning adding salt and pepper as necessary.
