Rich little butter cookie. Great cookie for those with allergies, there are no eggs in this cookie and no nuts. But make sure you use the chocolate chips that aren't packaged around nuts either to ensure no nuts get into the batter for those that are highly allergic.
Sift together flour and salt.
Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar and vanilla. Add dry ingredients a little at a time; blend until smooth.
Add chocolate chips.
Form dough into 1-inch balls; place on cookie sheet and flatten into 2-inch rounds.
Bake at 350(F) degrees for 9-11 minutes (just browned on edges).
