Quick and simple to make, these are real crowd pleasers at a party or office gathering.
Pre-heat your oven to 375F.Drain and dry the sausages with a paper towel.Cut each slice of cheese into 16 small portions (about 1/2 inch square)Lay out the crescent roll dough on a board and cut each triangle into 4 slender triangles.Place a piece of cheese on the large end of each dough triangle.Starting at the large end, wrap each triangle of dough around a sausage then roll it lightly on the counter or board to even the dough out. Both ends of the sausage should show through.Place them in rows on an ungreased backing sheet.Bake them for 11 - 15 minutes until they are lightly browned.Remove and let cool slightly before serving.
If you're preparing for a party you can make these the day before and put the unbaked sausages in the refrigerator for up to a day. Bake them just as guests are arriving.
These also travel well in their baked form for taking to pot-lucks for other gatherings.
