dense chocolate cake base, topped with a layer of marshmallow creme and a chocolate frosting.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Melt the 2 sticks of butter and 1/2 cup of cocoa together.
Beat 4 eggs and add before butter mixture gets too hot (you don't want to cook the eggs yet).
Blend in the 2 cups of sugar, 1 1/2 cups of flour, dash of salt, and 1 tsp of vanilla.
Pour into 9x13" pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
After removing from oven, smear marshmallow creme over the top. Not too thick. It sometimes helps to let it cool a little first. I also have better success by briefly microwaving the marshmallow creme until it starts to expand. Repeat as necessary.
After cooling, top the marshmallow layer with a good chocolate fudge frosting (my favorite is the recipe on the Hershey's can, with a little extra cocoa).
make sure the butter/cocoa mixture isn't too hot when you add the eggs or they eggs will cook like in a stir fry.
