Suggest a better descriptionCook noodles according to package directions. While that's going on, work on the beef mix.
Brown the beef and onions. Mix the gravy packet with one cup of water stirring until dissolved, then add the second cup. Once the meat is cooked and drained/rinsed, add the gravy in the same skillet and let it all hang out together until the gravy thickens. Remove skillet from heat, mix the sour cream in and return to the same burner it was on before (but it's still off!) and stir it in really well.
Serve beef mix on top of noodles. Enjoy!
