This is a staple in my house. Such a simple way to add flavor to a quick side dish.
Wash and Cut larger potatoes into bite-size pieces. Place potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl with a splash of water, and microwave on potato setting for 4 potatoes. You can also steam the potatoes in your steamer if you prefer. Check half-way through to adjust cooking time if you feel they are getting too done. You want the potatoes to be just shy of done where a fork can poke through, but there is resistance.
Melt the butter in a large fry pan. When the butter is bubbly, add the potatoes to the pan with all other ingredients. Fry until golden brown, Remove from heat. Serve immediately.
I've exchanged garlic powder for minced garlic on this recipe when I'm in a garlic state of mind.
