Suggest a better descriptionMix separately 2/3 cup instant mashed potatoes with enough boiling water to be stiff enough. Add to above yeast mixture and add the following: 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1 can Carnation milk with enough water to make 2 cups liquid, warmed 3 eggs Salt Vanilla 7 cups flour, enough to make a soft dough. Let rise. Punch down and let rise again. Roll out 1/2 - 3/4 inches thick and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle over filling after mixing together 1 cup of flour 1 1/2 cup brown and white sugar or about 1/2 cup syrup as part of the above Chopped nuts. (Knowing my mother, as many as possible. Possibly 2 cups chopped pecans.) Roll and slice about 2 1/2 inches thick and place in greased round 8 inch cake pan. Raise and cook 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Frost as desired.
