Combine shredded cabbage and carrots in a bowl. Set aside. Combine eggs, sugar, and vinegar in small saucepan. Cook over med heat until thickened. Remove from heat and add the mayonnaise. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss until coated. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
