My father's favorite dish is stroganoff, and every birthday he requests it. After 40 years of marriage, my mom has this recipe down pat!
1. Marinate bite-size pieces of meat in sherry overnight.
2. Lightly saute mushrooms, onions and garlic with butter in skillet on medium-high heat (until onions softened and mushrooms browned). Place in crockpot.
3. Dredge meat in flour and sear it in the skillet. Place in crockpot.
4. Add seasonings and beef broth to crockpot.
5. Cook on low 8 hours.
6. Add cornstarch mixture to slightly thicken sauce if needed. Add sour cream.
7. Cook and drain noodles.
8. Spoon stroganoff over noodles, garnish with parsley.
