Mom always made this pizza which was passed to her by Sam Kirk who got it from a small pizzeria on a trip long ago.
Crust
Soften yeast in water. Beat in 1 1/2 cups of flour. Mix in olive oil and salt. Stir in remaining flour until smooth and elastic. Place in lightly oiled mixing bowl. Turn oiled side up, cover and let rise in warm place until more than doubled. Punch down, cover, refrigerate until cold.
Sauce:
Fry onion in oil until golden. Add rest of ingredients and simmer.
