Kids love this dessert.
Mix cherry jello with 2 cups boiling water and stir until dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature and then add cherry pie filling. Chill until almost set.
Mix together cream cheese with a few tbsp. of milk and beat until smooth. Add remaining milk and then add vanilla pudding. Beat on low 2 minutes.
Layer: In a 3½ quart trifle bowl; sliced pount cake, cherry jello mixture and then vanilla pudding. Repeat. Top with cool whip and chill.
