Put stemmed strawberries in colander with bowl under colander to catch water. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over them & repeat with same water & let drain good. Mash up in a quart pan & put 1 cup of sugar over them. Bring to boil & boil for 5 min. Then add 1 more cup of sugar & boil for 5 more minutes. Put in bowl in refrigerator over night. Place in jars and store in freezer.
