2. Add oil to pan. Once hot add mustard seeds, asafetida and turmeric.
3. add dry rice and moong dal to pan.
4. roast until the oil coats everything.
5. add ghee and roast a few times to absorb
6. add red chili powder to taste
7. Add 4.5 cups of water (if pressure cooked) or 6 cups of water (if normal boil). Let is boil.
8. Once cooked add salt and sugar to taste.
9. Add goda masala for smell
Optional - add freshly chopped cilantro/coriander
