A Grandma Anderson classic.
Heat sugar, cream, corn syrup, and salt on medium heat until it boils. Put on lid and boil, covered, for 3 minutes. Remove lid and stir constantly until reaches 230 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add vanilla and food color. Stir well. Pour over popcorn and stir to coat.
