Buy uncooked pie crust and brown pie crust - start at 425 degrees for five minute then turn down to 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Mix up dry ingredients: sugar, cocoa and flour. Stir in milk and beaten egg yolks and put in microwave for increments of 2 minutes until it is thick. keep stirring.
Add 1/2 stick of butter and vanilla and stir it all together.
Put hot filling in the cooked pie crust.
All egg whites should be room temperature. Add a little warm water and beat the hell out of it. When it is all mixed up and fluffy and solid white, add a 1/2 cup of granulated sugar (to taste). Put meringue on the filling and seal well all around the pie. (add coconut on the top of the meringue if desired)
Bake for 30 minutes between 325 and 350.
