Put yeast in ? cup warm water.
Sprinkle with 1 tsp sugar.
Let it get bubbly.
Scald (not boil) milk. Remove from heat.
Add shortening, salt and sugar. Let cool.
Put egg mixture in with shortening. Add yeast. Stir (not hard).
Add all to well in flour. Mix then knead until satiny.
Put back in bowl and cover with tea towel.
Let rise until double in bulk. Knead again.
Make buns and let them double.
Bake at 450? about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
