Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Saute until mushrooms start to give off liquid (5 mins). Add matinara ans cook, stirring occassionally, until warmed through. Keep warm.
Set rack 3-inches from heat source; preheat broiler to high. Line broiling pan with foil; lightly oil foil. Arrange polenta on foil. Broil until lightly browned (3-4 mins). Turn, sprinkle with parm and broil until browned (3-4mins).
Divide polenta and top with ragout. Sprinkle with parsley.
