During the depression, my mom's family and their neighbors would gather together and make a soup from all the left-overs from the week. The jokingly called it nail soup. My mom loved it and created her own version to serve us when we were kids. It has become one of my family's favorites also! Enjoy!
Cook ground beef, drain grease and set aside. In stock pot, pour in all soups, diced potatoes and diced carrots. Add your favorite soup seasonings - I use Cavendar's, black ground pepper, chili powder, onion powder, dehydrated onions, dehydrated bell pepper, dehydrated celeryWorcester sauce, tabasco, and anything else I have handy. You can fry fresh onions, celery, and bell pepper with the beef if you prefer. Add ground beef to stock pot. Cook on medium heat until potatoes and carrots are cooked. Add the can of tomatoes (do not drain), green beens (drained), and corn (drained). You may want to add more beef stock at this point. Taste the soup now and adjust seasoning to your liking. Cook another 10-20 minutes. Serve it with saltine crackers or cornbread.
