My grandmother always made this kugel for holidays and family dinners.
1. Put noodles in a buttered casserole dish.
2. Bring sour cream, butter, and sugar to boil. Should be smooth and creamy.
3. Pour mixture over noodles. Do not mix.
4. Heat milk so it's warm, but not boiling.
5. Beat eggs slightly and add to the milk.
6. Pour over noodle mixture.
7. Cover and put dish in the fridge for anywhere from four hours until overnight.
8. Remove from fridge, and let sit for a few minutes.
9. Crush cornflakes, and cover the casserole with them.
10. Bake at 350(F) degrees for one hour.
This recipe is delicious, but full of fat, so feel free to make substitutes, such as skim milk for the whole milk - but hey, she lived to be 100!
When my grandmother gave me this recipe, she noted that it freezes well.
